Senior Property Manager: Multi-Family Residential & Commercial

ADVENT's partner, Vada Asset Management Inc, is looking for a dynamic entrepreneurial individual to join their team. This individual will have a strategic vision of the future of Property Management, and will assist in the implementation of new processes and procedures, to enhance our clients' experience, and make a difference in the industry. This challenging position requires acute attention to detail and a high standard of management.

The successful candidate will have 7-10 years’ experience in Multi-Family Residential and Commercial Property Management, and be Licensed in Rental Property Management and Trading Services (Associate level licensing an asset), to oversee and continue to build a portfolio in the Multi-Family Residential & Commercial markets of the Lower Mainland.

Property Management Experience and Skills:

  • Management of staff, tenants, contractors, ability to oversee, and work with engineers on building restoration projects, and tenant renovations
  • Ability to provide leadership and supervision to Resident Managers
  • General accounting including experience in drawing up budgets and anticipated budgets for new and existing buildings and properties
  • Ability to effectively negotiate service contracts, prepare files and attend Residential Tenancy hearings, and liaise with civic authorities or emergency service personnel
  • Ability to source new business and negotiate service agreements

Leadership Experience and Skills:

  • Build strong team morale through mentorship and support in leadership
  • Create strong processes and procedures, implementing systems for maximum efficiencies
  • Ability to implement corporate initiatives and monitor daily operations
  • Understand RESA rules and regulations and audit process
  • Working understanding of all the roles of employees in your charge
  • Efficient in all software used in the office such as Yardi or willing to become proficient in the software
  • Understanding of Marketing to work proficiently with our Marketing Director

Leasing Assistant

We are currently offering an administrative position with growth opportunity. We feel starting in administration gives our staff the best training in becoming a Property Manager.

The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task, prioritize and have good verbal and written communication. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to assisting others, who is resourceful and proactive in their responsibilities. This opportunity is ideal for an enthusiastic individual who is new to Property Management, newly licensed or currently enrolled in the Property Management course, who understands that having a strong foundation will allow them to excel as a Property Manager.


  • Assist with incoming calls, managing voice mail and email
  • Qualify and schedule showings and show available suites on behalf of a Licensee when required
  • Qualify tenancy applications, including reference calling, creating lease packages
  • Interacting with Owner’s only as directed by a Licensee
  • FOB and Key purchases, audit, pick-up and on occasion delivery as needed
  • Conduct inspections in person or virtual viewings
  • Maintain professional standards as set out by the Real Estate Council of BC
  • Assist Property Managers as required
  • Assist with rent increases and tenant communications
  • Back-up reception as needed
